My Scrabble Application Won't Play on My Facebook

Reason

Scrabble on Facebook puts an online twist on the classic Scrabble board game. Using this application, you can play Scrabble online against any other Facebook friends who have installed the game. If you're having issues playing Scrabble on Facebook, or if the game refuses to load for you, there are a few troubleshooting steps available.

Solution

Install Flash if you haven't already. Adobe Flash is required to run Scrabble on Facebook. You can download Flash from the Adobe website (see Resources).

Update yourbrowser. If you're using Firefox or Chrome, you may have issues playing Scrabble on Facebook if you're not using the latest, most up-to-date version of your browser.

Play inside the United States or Canada. The Scrabble on Facebook application is not available to those outside the United States and Canada. If you're trying to play the game abroad, it will not load.

How to Open Scrabble on a Mac

Reason

Scrabble Plus for Mac is a computer version of the classic board game. It offers traditional game play and three different games based on Scrabble: Scrabble Golf, Scrabble Battle and Scrabble Wizard. Scrabble Plus for Mac offers a 60-minute free trial, after which you must purchase a license online.

Solution

Go to the Scrabble Plus for Mac download page (see Resources) and download the free trial, if you do not already have the free trial or the full version installed. Double-click on the DMG file to open it and drag the "Scrabble Plus" file to your "Applications" folder.

Open the "Applications" folder and double-click the "Scrabble Plus" icon. If this is a trial version of the program, press the "Try It Now" button.

 Enter your name and select an avatar to see the game menu and start playing.
